thanks for the comment! definitely satellite anchors would require significant capital.

initially the land-based network will be built out first in concentrated deployments while hardware / software kinks are worked out. once it is dependable there will likely be a significant jump, followed by ports using buoys to track incoming/outgoing ships. not so sure about ships being anchors, as they need to be stationary in order to properly provide attestions for DPoL

I haven’t done the research on how well LoRa and satellites can work together — there might be insurmountable latency / accuracy issues. or there might be a tech. that gets developed tailor made for filling those ocean gaps. we’ll see, hopefully soon!
