Alexey — thanks for sharing your thoughts. I understand your position between a rock and a hard place (say something and attract attention vs. say nothing = tacit approval) and wanted to voice my support. You are a key member of the Ethereum community and it’s clear we have not managed consensus making properly on this issue.

While Andrea is right that there could be a better system concerning core dev call items, I would strongly caution you from taking the opinion of one person to heart. There are some parallels to Afri’s departure, albeit on a much smaller scale. When a public figure participates in the act of managing community, without fail someone will disagree on substance, style, or tone. This is inevitable and usually founded on constructive criticisms. When it’s clearly malicious the community should take proactive steps to combat it.

However, you also have work on state fees etc. that is ongoing and may require deeper focus. It may be reasonable to step back from Core calls if you really think this is the best thing to do. From what I understand ProgPow will not be on the agenda until there is further news on the audit. Cheers.
